The Annual Wings n' Wheels event will be held on September 6th at Historic Wings Field in Blue Bell.

This event benefits Angel Flight East whose mission is to provide free air transportation to those individuals that need to get to medical faicilites far from home for treatment. Our volunteer pilots give their time, aircraft and all expenses to fly these individuals. Over the past 15 years, Angel Flight East, has consistently served as a strong force of volunteers in our community.

Welcome to Angel Flight East, a volunteer pilot organization, coordinating free air transportation for qualified people whose medical needs of evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment can only be met by health care facilities far from their homes. We help children and adults who experience potentially life-threatening illnesses or injuries.

Angel Flight East can provide a travel option to patients who aren’t able to withstand long distance travel by auto, rail, or bus. Transport in the smaller general aviation aircraft of Angel Flight East pilots can also better accommodate patients whose condition could worsen if exposed to the re-circulated air on commercial aircraft. The challenges of fighting a serious life-threatening illness may have depleted a family’s life savings and limit their options. We believe that no one should go without the necessary treatment they need.

Angel Flight East provides medical air transportation from Maine, south to the Carolinas, west to Ohio, and points in-between.

We facilitate Compassion Flights when there is a compelling personal crisis, such as visiting a terminally ill family member far from home at a hospice.

We also are ready to respond in times of disaster too. We were there … after the 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center and after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
